Dolphins Preparing to Run the Gauntlet?

Week 11

Dolphins vs. Jets

Sunday Nov, 21, 2021

The Miami Dolphins improved to 3-7 on the season with a big win over the Ravens on last Thursday night. With the Jets next on the schedule, don't look now but The Dolphins can make it three straight as they are on a two-game win streak.

Miami is starting to show some to fire power - They're getting everyone involved on the offense, WR's are catching the ball which is a huge improvement from last year, and it seems given his performance, QB Tua Tagovailoa is finding his rhythm.

As he came in late in the third quarter, Tua went 8-for-13 with 158 passing yards and a rushing touchdown to extend the Dolphins lead late in the game. Tua did that in only just one half of play against one of the League's more respected defenses.

The Dolphins had an excellent defensive performance too, sacking Lamar Jackson 4 times. DB Xavien Howard registered a fumble recovery return TD, and DB Justin Coleman registered a game-sealing INT when the Ravens were in the Red Zone for the first time all night.

K Jason Sanders also had a great night "For the Brand" as former Colts' Punter Pat McAfee would say, he went 3-for-3 on field goals and was perfect on extra points.

With the Dolphins on a current two-game win streak, they could run the gauntlet as their next four games are @ New York Jets, home vs. Carolina Panthers, home vs. New York Giants, and home vs. NYJ again.

Momentum may sway Dolphins fans to look at the positives. They could finish the season with seven or eight wins. And with having beat a team like the Ravens, one of the most explosive all-around teams in the NFL, they may gain team identity and aim to upset the Saints, Patriots, or Titans later on down the road this season.
