Easy Brees'Y

The New Orleans Saints and Sean Payton got their 5th victory of the season against the Ravens Sunday. In the most bizarre of endings, even New Orleans & Baltimore were left scratching their heads after K Justin Tucker missed an extra point to tie the game at 24.

In the 4th quarter, the Siants offense picked apart the Ravens zone scheme. A few roll out passes by Drew Brees left the Ravens gasping for air on the defensive side of the ball. A few Taysom Hill runs, and gutsy play calls implied that New Orleans head coach had no intention of leaving Maryland empty handed. They surely went to great lengths to insure momentum throughout the game. On a quick post to WR Micheal Thomas, the Saints took a 21-17 lead putting the pressure on Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense. Sufficiently, Flacco and the Ravens responded, only to be inhibited by the sure leg of All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker.

Both teams are expected to be post-season threats this season in the NFL. The tug-a-war match-up that took place between these clubs yesterday is sure to add some fuel to both teams locker rooms. The Saints may want to be mindful of their ability to stop the running game of opponents. The Ravens, will need to be more assertive on the offensive side of the ball and adjust defensive play calling so that opposing QB's aren't just sitting in the pocket cool and comfortable. All and all, both teams still are at the top of their divisions and on track to berth home field games in the playoffs. I believe these teams are very much so powerhouses in both the AFC & NFC.
