Mental mistakes costly for Chicago in Nashville


  • Chicago struggled to find a rhythm - self inflicted wounds to blame, five penalties for 35 yards

  • Defense dominated the entire game-both teams unable to get within the red zone before the 3rd quarter

  • Desmond King II made a stellar debut with a 63 yard scoop and score, after being traded to the Titans on Nov. 2.

First Half

  • Midway through the first, Ryan Tannehill finds A.J. Brown for the 38 yard run to set up Stephen Gostkowski's 40 yard field goal (3-0 Tennessee)

  • A sneaky fourth down trick play by the Bears picked up 11 yards and the first down, but the Titans halt them midfield.

  • Tannehill finds Brown between two defenders for the 40 yard score late in the second (10-0 HALF)

Second Half

  • Early in the third, Nick Foles finds Anthony Miller for 34 yards, but two back-to-back Chicago false starts forced the Bears' to punt for the sixth time

  • Late in the third, Tennessee's Jeffery Simmons forced the fumble, picked up by Desmond King II for the 63 yard scoop and score (17-0)

  • The Bears began the fourth quarter in the red zone, but settle for the 22 yard field goal after Foles catches a break with an incomplete pass at the four yard line (17-3)

  • Derrick Henry picks up 26 yards to set up Jonnu Smith's 30 yard pickup, followed by Smith's two yard score (24-3)

  • Foles connects with Ryan Nall for the six yard score with five minutes left (24-10)

  • Chicago fumbles on their 39 with 3:53 left, ball is picked up by Simmons, but the Bears' defense buckles down and forces another punt

  • Foles finds Jimmy Graham from eight yards out to put the Bears within one score with one minute left (24-17)

  • The onside kick is recovered by Tennessee, sealing the Titans' sixth win of the season (24-17 FINAL)
