Saquon Barkley may be able to save a horrid rushing attack for the New York Giants that managed to rank at the bottom of the league for two consecutive seasons. Despite being a force in the NFC East in 2016, in 2017 they loss Odell Beckham Jr. to injury for the season, and basically got pummeled every time to hit the field last season. Many analyst are pleading for an abandoning of veteran Eli Manning who is becoming a victim of ageism. Others, understand that conquering a NFC East division that is home to the defending Super Bowl champion is going to take some discipline and dedication.
Met life stadium will play as the hosting site for rookie HB Saquon Barkley and the New York Giants in 2018. When watching Barkley's tapes, he reminds me of former Minnesota Vikings HB Robert Smith who was known for his downhill speed and agility. When watching film of Barkley it is easy to see that he keeps his feet churning, chopping through tackles, and out-running Linebackers in pursuit. His attributes will make hi threatening in cutbacks, counters, sweeps, and stretch runs. 57 year old HB coach Craig Johnson mans the Running Back Coaching Office over at Giants headquarters. He'll be the mentor for a fire filled young RB that his administration obtained through the NFL Draft. While it's relatively easy to like this Draft pick. The Giants still have a lot of work to do if they are going to be a force in the NFC this season. Welcome to the Big Apple Saquon.
