Niners Are Legit

The San Francisco 49ers are Super Bowl contenders. Full stop.

People have been writing off the Niners' success all season. And I'll admit I'm one of them (I had the Packers at +3 and thought it was a great bet).

But now it's time to take them seriously.

San Fran was the last undefeated team in the league. People shrugged, saying they hadn't played anyone good.

Then they played a tight game against MVP candidate Russel Wilson and the Seahawks which took the full length of OT to be decided. Oh, and that was without star TE George Kittle. People still said, "See. They can't beat good teams."

But on Sunday night, the 49ers proved they're a legit power by dismantling Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in primetime.

San Fran's defense showed why it's alongside the Patriots' D as the best unit in the league. Aaron Rodgers had just 104 yds, 1 TD, and was sacked 4 times while the Pack manged just 8 points.

George Kittle had a dominate return to action with over 100 yds and a TD. Jimmy G was poised and polished as he led a Niners' offense that looked elite against Green Bay.

At 10-1, the 49ers are tied with the New England Patriots for the best record in football. It's time to give them the respect they deserve.

No shenanigans, just football.
